A Fresh Take on Bold Colors

September 23, 2019

Recently a creative group of wedding vendors got together and dreamed up this beautiful stylized photo shoot! With the distinguished Charles Allis Museum as their backdrop, they paint a vivid and romantic story!

“The Charles Allis Art Museum is a beautiful historic mansion located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I knew I wanted to take a different approach to style a wedding shoot here. When I walked through the museum for the first time, I immediately noticed the bold geometric patterns of the wood ceiling beams in the main hall. Using geometric pieces of decor would harmonize with this structural element of the building. As I explored the museum further, I discovered unique furniture and artwork in every room, all very bold in style. Marble, wood, and gold elements really stood out to me and were consistent throughout the entire museum. To make my design pop, I chose to use bold and bright colors along with gold metallics to match the decor already in the space. My overall goal was to show couples how to bring a modern, eclectic, and bright twist into this historic mansion built in 1909. No couple should feel limited to the “usual” style seen in a wedding venue. It is so important to show how they can incorporate their own unique touches into any space for their most special day!? –Kristin Reisenauer, Natural Elegance LLC
