In Lake Country, Wisconsin, we’re spoiled for gorgeous, picturesque backdrops for hosting an unforgettable wedding. A new favorite is Fête of Wales, a fresh venue located at the northeast corner of Hwy 18 and Oak Crest Drive, commonly referred to as “The Pond Property.”

The property itself features 13 acres of towering oak trees, lush meadow and prairie grasses, and a serene pond at the center of all. All the while, access to wonderful restaurants and hotels are just minutes away. The interior of Fête features a rustic-industrial vibe. It needs no embellishment to be beautiful, but can also adapt to suit many styles.

Fête is owned and operated by Steve and Nick, two firefighters/paramedics who met on the job. It has since become a family affair as both Nick and Steve’s wives play an integral role at Fête. “They think of the fine details and put in the ‘finesse’ the place needs, while we’re the brawn behind the scenes,” they say.

Steve and Nick were drawn to the wedding industry following their own experience with wedding planning. They found it tricky to find a venue that accommodated their entire guest list, price range, and availability. In the end, they found they had to sacrifice location and aesthetics in order to tie the knot in under two years. Yes, waitlists for some venues are really that long!After talking together about their experiences and recognizing similar struggles, that’s when Nick and Steve had their lightbulb moment.
