A wedding reception celebrating where it all started.

From Mutual Friends to Forever Love

Cassie and Chance met through a friend while working at the Milwaukee County Zoo together. “We were driving around on a golf cart, and she went to high school with him and asked to stop to chat when we passed him. I wasn’t really paying attention when she was talking to him, but he thought I was cute and asked for my number a few days later. The rest is history.”

They got engaged while apple picking with Chance’s sister. “We were taking pictures and she said to pretend to be picking an apple and when I turned back around, he was down on one knee.”

Reception at the Zoo

“We had our reception in the Peck Welcome Center at the zoo. The space accommodated great with our large guest count, and it was beautiful on the inside. That’s where we met so we wanted to bring it full circle.” The caterers at Milwaukee County Zoo, Taste, were wonderful. “Not only was the staff amazing to work with, but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our day. The food was amazing. We got nothing but compliments from all our guests.”

Flowers

Grande Flowers did all of the floral arrangements for the wedding and reception. “They did a great job with all our bouquets and boutonnieres. They brought my vision for my flowers to life and were super nice to work with.”

Hair and Make-up

Hair stylist Jodi Krueger was amazing to work with and did a great job with everyone’s hair as was make-up artist Eliza Devereaux.

DJ Makes the Day

Midwest Sound and Design DJ Amanda kept the party going. “She checked off all our boxes of needs and wants for our wedding. Highly recommend this company they were easy and great to work with and the process of everything was simple and easy.” The dance floor was the thing that Cassie remembers most about the night. “The first dance was pretty magical with just a moment to ourselves on the dance floor. It felt like no one was around. Dancing the night away with our friends and family will always make me smile thinking back on it.”
