Lake Geneva Wedding at The Riviera Ballroom

Getting married on the lake at their favorite place in the spring was a dream come true for this amazing couple.

How They Met

Kylie, who is originally from Burlington, Illinois, and KC, who hails from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, met through mutual friends.

The Engagement

KC walked Kylie down the lakeshore path near their home in Lake Geneva, sat her down on a bench, and pulled a necklace out of his pocket with the letter V to represent their last name. He then pulled out the prettiest engagement ring ever. The only words Kylie was able to convey were, “KC, it’s so pretty!” There were many happy tears, hugs, and smiles when she was finally able to say, “YES!”

The Dress

Kylie found her wedding dress at All About the Gown in Lake Geneva. It was the first dress she tried on, and she fell in love immediately.

The Ceremony

Kylie and KC’s wedding ceremony was at The Riviera Ballroom in Lake Geneva. Before they said “I do,” the groom- and bride-to-be walked out to the balcony and opened personal letters they had written to each other instead of reciting their vows aloud. It was an intimate memory they will both cherish forever.

The Reception

The reception was also held at The Riviera Ballroom. Every moment was absolutely perfect. A Personal Touch DJ Services had the dance floor packed all night long.

The Photos

The Food and Drinks

For dinner, guests noshed on Gino’s East deep dish pizza, which was a crowd favorite. Dessert featured delicious French macarons baked by Mac MKE. The signature cocktails, concocted and served by Over the Moon Bartending out of Glendale, were a brandy old fashioned and a spiked lavender lemonade. The bartenders were extremely attentive to the bride and groom all night

The Décor

Since Kylie is an avid crafter, their wedding décor involved a number of DIY projects. The couple built their very own hexagonal wedding arch for their ceremony. Kylie dyed cheesecloth for the tables, plus created all of the signage and seating charts. Fake flowers were also used for the decorations to add a dash of colorful romance. Family and friends donated wine bottles, which Kylie and KC spray painted and added their wedding date and a cutout of Lake Geneva to.

The Honeymoon

Kylie and KC celebrated their newly wedded bliss on a vacation to the British Virgin Islands.
