Maria and Zach at Lake Geneva Cruise Lines

Lake Geneva Cruise Line Wedding

An early summertime celebration of love on the waters of Lake Geneva

The Celebration

High school sweethearts Maria and Zach got married at St. Mary Parish in Hales Corners in a Catholic ceremony. From the church, the newlyweds and their bridal party rode to the reception in style in a luxurious limo from Blackline Limousines. In lieu of a traditional reception, the couple threw a “toasts and dancing” party in the Boat Showroom at Pier 290 with a live band, Bluewater Kings Band, on the Lady of the Lake cruise ship in Lake Geneva. “We walked on the boat, and it was like a fairytale. The blue water was truly magical.”

The Look

Maria found her dream wedding dress at White Dress Off the Rack in Milwaukee. She knew it was the one the moment she tried it on; she envisioned looking just like a bride from the 1998 classic, “The Parent Trap.” Maria’s bridesmaids wore all-white lace dresses in styles they chose themselves. Emily Biersack did the bride’s and bridesmaids’ stunning hair and makeup. The Jewelry Center custom-made the couple’s rings and accessories. Christopher’s tux was from DuBois Formalwear.

The Décor

Paperwhites in Wauwatosa designed the customized wedding invitations. Lilypots Lake Geneva provided the gorgeous floral arrangements for Maria and Zach’s wedding. The couple commissioned a custom watercolor painting from Windswept Design Studio.

The Food and Drinks

The night before they tied the knot, Maria and Zach hosted their rehearsal dinner at Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen in West Allis. Their wedding dinner was served by Lake Life Catering, the caterer through the Lake Geneva Cruise Line, who “knocked the food out of the park,” according to the couple. Guests enjoyed delicious steaks, which were so big that Zach’s jaw dropped. Instead of cake for dessert, the newlyweds and their loved ones indulged in pies from Sweet Pea’s Pies in Maryville, Wisconsin.

The Photos

Janet D Photography captured all of the beautiful moments throughout Maria and Zach’s special day. “She was so sweet and easygoing. I can’t imagine the day without her, and I am so thankful for all of the lasting memories we have because of her,” Maria shared. The couple even took photos at their parents’ homes, where they grew up.

Words of Wisdom from the Bride
