Andrea and Peter at Barn at Trinity Peak by Wild Elegance

A Brightly Colored Wedding at Barn at Trinity Peak

May 9, 2025

A Wedding Complimented with Bright Flowers, Captured by Wild Elegance Photography.

How They Met

Andrea and Peter met by chance not knowing they had a similar past. Both going to the same high school, but never meeting until after they graduated. Peter had just moved home from Utah, and fatefully walking into the same dive bar one night.

How They Got Engaged

Peter invited Andrea to his Uncle’s property for lunch and hiking. While they were hiking, unbeknownst to Andrea, Peter’s cousin and his fiancé were setting up an adorable lunch in the forest inside a lit up igloo. After lunch Peter took Andrea down by the lake and dropped to a knee!

The Planning Process

Wedding Date: August 16, 2024
Guest Count: 170
Wedding Colors: Bright!
Photographer: Wild Elegance Photography
Rehearsal Dinner: Golden Mast Inn

Style and Theme of the Wedding:
A chaotic garden party amongst bright florals.

What was your favorite design element?
“By far the florals. We went to the Watertown Farmer’s Market and the sweetest woman and her family helped pick out fun flowers. They nailed it.”

Weddings Looks

Dress: Lulu’s Bridal
Bridesmaids Dresses: All bridesmaids went to different stores.

How many dresses did you try on?
“Four. It was pretty easy as I was shooting for comfort over anything. The halter dress was really breathy for an August wedding.”

Ceremony Details

Location: St. Jerome’s Church in Oconomowoc

Ceremony Details and Favorite Moments:
“Peter and I were terrified! We had a large guest count and seeing 170 faces was a wild experience for us. It was a beautiful ceremony, but walking out after the ceremony and being together jumping with excitement after it was done and official was a really happy moment for us.”

Reception Details

Location: Barn at Trinity Peak
Food: The BBQ Company

Why Did You Choose Your Venue:
“We like that it was a little mix of middle of nowhere and close to town. It was a big enough venue that offered space to roam around a bit.”

Reception Details and Favorite Moments:
“Our families and guests meshed really well together. I loved seeing my friends and family dancing and having a good time. It felt like a crossover episode from the 2000’s.”

Looking Back

Three Words that Described the Day:
“Bright, Relaxed and Fun”

What Moment Sticks With You the Most?
“It was a night that felt like a movie premiere and Peter and I were the stars. So many people in a happy mood, and for us!?! We felt so lucky and so spoiled. It was just euphoric being surrounded by unconditional love.”

What Vendors Impressed You the Most?
“Our photographer, Wild Elegance, was fantastic. She worked against the clock of an incoming thunderstorm to get some amazing photos.”

Special Tips or Advice to Future Couples?
“Try to have fun with it! Don’t be afraid to add little elements of yourselves even if it goes against the grain.”
